Agreement to Terms
By inviting Welcome Bot to your Discord server or using its commands, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Bot.
Description of Service
Welcome Bot provides personalized welcome messages for Discord servers:
- Custom welcome images with member avatar and server branding
- Animated GIF support for servers with animated icons
- Customizable text, colors, borders, and backgrounds
- Multiple display modes (image + text, image only, text only)
- Link buttons for onboarding
- Temporary ping messages with auto-delete
The Bot is provided free of charge.
Acceptable Use
You agree to comply with:
- Discord’s Terms of Service
- Discord’s Community Guidelines
- All applicable laws
Prohibited Uses
- Upload inappropriate or illegal content as background images
- Exploit, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Bot’s systems
- Overwhelm services with automated requests or spam
- Use the Bot for harassment or harmful purposes
- Resell or commercialize features or data from the Bot
User Responsibilities
Server Administrators
- Ensure welcome messages contain appropriate content
- Configure the Bot with proper channel permissions
- Do not upload inappropriate background images
All Users
- Report bugs or vulnerabilities responsibly
Privacy
Review our Privacy Policy for details on data collection and use.
- We do not store member data beyond the join event
- Custom backgrounds are stored on Cloudinary
- We do not collect message content
- Data is not sold or shared
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE BOT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure service. Image generation depends on Discord API and external service availability.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Service interruption or cessation
- Failed welcome messages due to API or permission issues
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Bot operators from claims arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Bot
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your violation of applicable laws
Termination
We may:
- Terminate or suspend access at any time without notice
- Remove the Bot from servers violating these Terms
- Block abusive users or servers
- Discontinue the Bot at our discretion
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective upon posting. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
Severability
If any provision is unenforceable, it shall be limited to the minimum extent necessary. Remaining provisions stay in effect.
