Agreement to Terms

By inviting Moderation Bot to your Discord server or using its commands, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Bot.

Description of Service

Moderation Bot provides moderation tools for Discord servers:

  • Warn, timeout, untimeout, ban, unban, kick, and nickname commands
  • Configurable permission system with allowed and immune roles per action
  • Per-user per-action cooldowns
  • Full moderation logging with /modlogs and /raw-modlogs
  • Appeal link support for ban actions

The Bot is provided free of charge.

Acceptable Use

You agree to comply with:

Prohibited Uses

  • Use moderation commands to harass, bully, or target individuals
  • Exploit, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Bot’s systems
  • Overwhelm services with automated requests or spam
  • Use the Bot for discrimination or harmful purposes
  • Abuse moderation tools beyond their intended purpose

User Responsibilities

Server Administrators

  • Configure appropriate allowed and immune roles
  • Ensure moderators use the Bot responsibly
  • Set reasonable cooldowns to prevent abuse
  • Review moderation logs for accountability

Moderators

  • Provide accurate reasons for all moderation actions
  • Do not abuse moderation powers
  • Follow server guidelines when taking actions

Privacy

Review our Privacy Policy for details on data collection and use.

  • Moderation logs record User IDs, actions, and reasons
  • We do not collect message content
  • Data is not sold or shared

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE BOT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING:

  • MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure service. Moderation actions depend on Discord API availability and bot permissions.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Service interruption or cessation
  • Moderation actions taken by server moderators using the Bot
  • Failed DM notifications to moderated users

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Bot operators from claims arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the Bot
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your violation of applicable laws
  • Moderation actions taken in your server

Termination

We may:

  • Terminate or suspend access at any time without notice
  • Remove the Bot from servers violating these Terms
  • Block abusive users or servers
  • Discontinue the Bot at our discretion

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective upon posting. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

Severability

If any provision is unenforceable, it shall be limited to the minimum extent necessary. Remaining provisions stay in effect.
